I. Eligibility for membership
1. Membership in the Association shall be limited to persons of integrity with suitable education, training, and experience in measuring events and crime scenes, accident reconstruction, and reverse-engineering for investigative, security, pre-event planning, and/or litigation purposes.
2. Those eligible for membership include forensic medical examiners, medical examiners, lab technicians and examiners, anthropologists, attorneys, forensic artists/sculptors, law enforcement (federal, state, local), HAZMAT team members, counter-terrorism team members, SWAT members, explosives team members, fire investigators, pre-event planners, security advisors, WMD team members and all other experts affiliated with finding the truth by documenting, measuring and analyzing the evidence. Others who are not listed here but are engaged in capturing and analyzing spatial data and can show their affiliation may apply for membership. Trainees, College professors and students in any of these fields may also apply for membership.
