II. Membership classes

D. Emeritus Member

1. Emeritus Membership may be conferred upon Distinguished Members who:

a. have served as a member of the Association for a minimum of twenty-five (25) years, or

b. have reached the age of sixty (60), or

c. are retired from their usual place of employment and are no longer actively engaged in the field of crime scene documentation or gathering of spatial data for investigative or security purposes.

2. A candidate for Emeritus Membership must apply in writing to the Membership Committee, which shall determine if the individual meets the criteria as set forth above. The names of Emeritus Membership candidates shall be presented by the Membership Committee to the membership at the annual business meeting of the Association. A majority of the voting members present at the meeting must vote in favor of Emeritus Membership in order for it to be conferred.

3. Emeritus Members shall enjoy all rights and benefits of Regular Membership but shall pay no dues.
